Scholarships and Endowments | How to Apply

The Arizona Business and Professional Women's Foundation promotes the advancement of Arizona's working women through scholarships, research, and education. Scholarships are awarded to women 25 years or older (by March 1) who are returning to school to acquire better job opportunities or advance their current careers.

Scholarship Information

The Arizona Business & Professional Women's Foundation offers scholarships to women who are returning to school to acquire better job opportunities. Currently, contributions to the Foundation are designated to one of the following scholarships:

BPW/AZ Foundation Scholarships

This General scholarship provides funding for eligible women attending any Arizona community college.

Dr. Dorine Chancellor Endowment

This Fund was established in 1990. Scholarships may be awarded to eligible students attending any Arizona community college. First priority goes to a student attending Eastern Arizona College at the Thatcher, Arizona campus.

Crowell Endowment

The Linda Crowell Memorial Endowment Fund was established in 1999. Scholarships are available for eligible students at all community colleges in Maricopa County.

Muriel Lothrop-Ely Endowment

This Fund was established in 2006. Scholarships are available for eligible students at all Arizona community colleges.

Applications for 2014-2015 are available from the Financial Aid office of your school or community college (downloadable PDF document), or by writing to:

A committee made up of Foundation Board members and community volunteers reviews all eligible scholarship applications and selects recipients. Funds are sent directly to the community college or trade school to be applied to the recipient's student account.
